“House in the Woods” Internet TV Channel
Eight residents of the “House in the Woods” hostel in Kfar Veradim are participating in a movie and film group. In its framework they document everyday experiences and events in the immediate vicinity. The final product – fantastic clips. They are shown in their home website and view by the residents, friends, family and random surfers.
The process begins with an editorial meeting held fortnightly in which they determine the subjects they are to film and work procedures. A filming team is chosen consisting of a director, producer and photographers. This process is in itself is a mix of personal communication skills and the ability to take decisions and solve problems. To choose between priorities etc. is a significant part of this project.
At the next stage members go to work, they film and interview both the residents and staff members. Two volunteer professional producers guide the film crew, edit the reporting and load them onto the hostel’s website. The movie group provides members with a window into the world of professional documentation and enables their families, friends and whoever else interested a small peep into the routine life of the hostel residents.
The activity circle is led by the documentary film producer, Micha Livneh, along with the active assistance of the stage manager, Tirza.
