SHIBOLIM
The “Shibolim” Occupational Center is a day center used as a sheltered work place for people afflicted with various disabilities, mainly emotional but also motoric and mild intellectual disabilities.
|
The center provides a creative and productive occupational framework in the realm of objet d'art for the home, garden and the office.
The center is a link in the sequence of the wide scope of services addressing the needs of the adult population with special needs and allows continuous mobility based on their progress. When a rehabilitant with low functional ability receives full support he/she will be able to remain at the occupational center for a very long time. Those who have strong abilities will allow them to integrate through appropriate support in the next continuing link that is work in the open market. It’s possible to arrive at the center each day and to advance in employment according to their ability, enthusiasm and individual skills. Possibilities for work are varied and can be chosen. It could be cutting dried flowers, painting frames and packing presents and even planning right up to full implementation of everything the activities require during the process of producing the objet d’or. Every participant has a personal program tailored to the days he or she participates and carries out the tasks. Rehabilitants receive a hot meal, transportation and financial remuneration |
