THE COCHAV COMMITTEE

 

SHALOM HAZON
The chairperson of the directorate of both the Mercaz Cochav Ma’alot-Tarshiha Association and the Cochav Hatzafon Association has been socially active for 25 years and one of the central figures in the associations.
Previously he was a member of the Ma’alot-Tarshiha Municipal Council and among the initiators and founders of the Cochav Center for the intellectually disabled. He employs his personal and social connections for the benefit of the association. He is also the manager of a physical project for neighborhood renewal project of the Ministry of Housing.
 

 

 

RUTHY GOFFER
Managing Director of the Mercaz Cochav Ma’alot-Tarshiha Association and the Cochav Hatzafon Association since its inception. Ruthy has initiated and advanced new and innovative programs over the years for the benefit of people with special needs in the Galilee. Ruthy Goffer has a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Social Work.		  

 

  

YAACOV SALEK
A member of the management committee of the Mercaz Cochav Ma’alot-Tarshiha Association and is an employee of Iscar Industries in Tefen. He is socially active in the community and contributes time and effort to advance the aims of the association.

  

 

ZE’EV MINTZ
A member of the management committee of the Cochav Hatzafon Association. Ze’ev is an engineer at a governmental plant in the region. Ze’ev is the father of Dan, a resident at the “House in the Woods” hostel. He is a founder member of the association and has been an active volunteer for over 15 years. Ze’ev is also active in social activities in the community.
